Plymouth Maple Festival – April 11, 2026

Calling all bakers! Put your best maple-inspired recipe to the test at the 2026 Maple Baking Contest, part of the Plymouth Maple Festival. Whether you’re a seasoned baker or a young kitchen creative, this contest celebrates the sweet, rich flavor of real maple syrup and the joy of homemade baking.

Contest Overview

  • Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026
  • Location: Plymouth City Park (Bandshell check-in)
  • Entry Fee: $5 per entry
  • Registration Deadline: April 1, 2026

All entries will be judged live during the festival, and winners will be announced the same day.

Participants may enter one item per category (a separate entry form and fee is required for each entry).

Cookies

  • Adult
  • Kids (Grades K–6)
  • Kids (Grades 7–12)

Muffins

  • Adult
  • Kids (Grades 7–12)

Other Bakery Items

  • Adult
  • Kids (Grades 7–12)

Rules & Requirements

Please review the rules carefully. Entries not meeting these requirements will not be accepted.

  • Real maple syrup is required. Maple extracts is not permitted.
  • All recipes must be made from scratch (no mixes).
  • Entries requiring refrigeration will not be accepted.
  • Kids’ entries must be made by kids; adults may assist or supervise only.
  • Entries must be submitted on sturdy, disposable plates, covered with disposable wrap.
  • Each entry must be labeled with the competitor’s name, address, and recipe, securely attached.
  • Entries must be delivered and checked in by 9:30 a.m. at the Plymouth City Park Bandshell on April 11, 2026.
  • By entering, participants grant permission for the Plymouth Maple Festival Committee to use recipes and photos for publication and promotion.

Judging & Awards

Judging will take place at 10:30 a.m. on April 11, 2026.

Entries will be evaluated using the following criteria:

  • 50% Taste and flavor
  • 25% Creativity and originality
  • 25% Texture and consistency

Judges’ decisions are final. Prizes will be awarded immediately following the contest. If a winner is not present, awards may be picked up later at the Plymouth Chamber Office.


Maple Syrup Tip 🍁

Contestants are encouraged to use Mullet River Maple Syrup, produced from trees in Plymouth City Park. Syrup is available for purchase at:

  • The Plymouth Chamber Office
  • The Plymouth Cheese Counter

Download the Maple Baking Contest Entry Form, complete it, and mail it with your $5 entry fee by April 1, 2026.
